An alchemy lab at Chez Chanelle
An Alchemist (also referred to as a herbalist) is a person who uses herbs and vials to craft potions in Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga.
Description[]
You must talk to your alchemist while you have the formula you want them to learn on you. The formula then disappears and your alchemist learns the recipe. (Example: I have Healing 10 formula and talk to my alchemist. He learns Healing 10. The formula disappears.) If your alchemist already knows how to make the potion, you will keep the formula in your inventory.
The number of ingredients you need depends on what level your Battle Tower alchemy platform is. A level 3 platform only needs 1x Fanny Blossom and 3x Ginseng for a healing 10 potion. But a level 1 platform needs 2x Fanny Blossom and 5x Ginseng to make one. The Master Herbalist skill also reduces the quantity of ingredients needed to craft portions.
Alchemists[]
- The first alchemist available to you is Abanayabar the talking tree. He is found in miller Upton's storage in Broken Valley Village.
- In Sentinel Island you will choose one of two people to become your Battle Tower alchemist:
- Allan (Sentinel Island), who is not really an alchemist but has a unique and powerful formula (Allan Brew)
- Barbatos, who makes really good potions
- During the Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance expansion, Chanelle at Chez Chanelle on Lanilor Lane can make you potions, avoiding a trip to the Battle Tower (with all the formulas known by your tower alchemist and all the benefits conferred by your tower upgrades).
Battle Tower Alchemy Garden[]
- There is a Key hidden on one of the tables here that opens a chest in the Necromancy Ring that contains gold and a Key.
- That Key then opens up a chest in the Skill Training Arena that contains gold and a Key.
- That Key then opens up a chest in the Workshop that contains gold and a Key.
- And finally, That Key then opens up a chest in your Personal Quarters that contains random loot.
- You may save and reload at your Personal Quarters chest to get something different each time.
