Bleeding is a status effect in Divinity: Original Sin II.

Description[]

Bleeding is a negative status effect. Characters afflicted by it will receive X-Y piercing damage each turn. Piercing damage deals damage directly to Vitality and is not affected by Armour values.

Cause[]

Bleeding can be caused by both items and skills. On Rivellon there is no surface which will inflict bleeding status. On the other hand Scoundrel and Necromancer schools have access to skills and spells which will inflict Bleeding.

As with any other negative status effect, there are two ways how to avoid and negate its effects. First its important to keep Physical armour value above 0. Secondly status effect Regenerating protect from being affected by Bleeding and also replaces the effect. Regenerating can be gained by both spells and blessed poison surface or blessed poison cloud.

Physical armour restoration[]

Bleeding can be resisted if character has Physical armour above 0. This does not apply to characters with Glass Cannon talent.
