Compass is the sixth object required for the quest Mind over Matter in Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance.
After obtaining a Miniature Zeppelin from Dr. West at the Circle of Trust Inn, give it to Casca in Mardaneus Plaza. He'll give you the Compass in exchange. It can be given to Virginius, a Champion in the Great Market district.
