Destroy Physical Armour on target character, and set Acid status.
Skill description

Corrosive Touch is a Geomancer and Necromancer skill in Divinity: Original Sin II.

Description[]

Corrosive Touch Skill[]

Corrosive Touch is a offensive mixed skill that allows caster to touch their chosen target in 2 meter range and destroy their Physical Armour Icon (Original Sin 2) Physical Armour by dealing physical armour damage. Characters will be additionally afflicted with Acid (Original Sin 2) Acid status effect which will keep destroying Physical Armour Icon (Original Sin 2) Physical Armour for 2 turns on top of negating Fortified (Original Sin 2) Fortified status effect.

Note that due to its damage type, the skill or its status effect will never damage the Vitality of the afflicted character.

Since Corrosive Touch relies on Geomancy and Necromancy magic it cannot be cast if caster is affected by Silenced (Original Sin 2) Silenced and Enraged (Original Sin 2) Enraged status effects. Corrosive Touch skill is not reflected back when the target is under Deflective Barrier skill.

Scroll and Skillbook[]

Corrosive Touch skillbook is a magical item that allows its reader to learn Corrosive Touch skill, if they have at least 1 point into both Geomancer and Necromancer abilities, and use it indefinitely. In order to be able to cast the skill, character needs 1 free memory slot. Note that the book will disappear once read. The book weights 0.5 and its base value is 190 gold. A skillbook can be crafted if a any non-source Geomancer and Necromancer skillbooks are combined. Since Corrosive Touch is a mixed skill, traders do not have the skillbook for sale.

Corrosive Touch is one of the few magic-based skills in the game that does not have a scroll.

Geomancer Icon (Original Sin 2) Skill Modifiers[]

Damage of this skill is calculated with the following formula: (Base Damage) x (1 + Elemental Bonus%) x (1 + Attribute Bonus% + Weapon Skill Bonus %) x (1 + High Ground Bonus% + Crit Bonus%) x ( 1 + Misc Bonus %)

The damage of this skill is affected by the following attributes of the caster:

  1. Level
  2. Intelligence attribute
  3. Critical Damage Modifier

Due to the Corrosive Touch skill dealing physical armour damage it does not receive bonus from any ability. Instead the damage relies most notably on Intelligence attribute and the Level of the caster.

Corrosive Touch properties can be affected by talents, consumable items (some of which may be affected by Five-Star Diner talent) and other skills.
