Dazing bolt is a novice aerotheurge skill in Divinity: Original Sin II.
Description[]
Skill[]
Dazing Bolt shoots an electrical bolt from the sky dealing air damage to characters and items in the area, and setting Shocked status.
Scales with character level and Intelligence.
Scroll and Skillbook[]
Dazing Bolt skillbook is a magical item that allows its reader to learn Dazing Bolt skill, if they have at least 2 points into Aerotheurge ability, and use it indefinitely. In order to be able to cast the skill, character needs 1 free memory slot. Note that the book will disappear once read. The book weights 0.5 and its base value is 120 gold. A skillbook can be crafted if a Dazing Bolt scroll is combined with a Blank Air Skillbook. Since Dazing Bolt is a novice Aerotheurge skill, traders will start selling the skillbook once Godwoken reach level 4.
Dazing Bolt scroll is a magical item that allows any character to cast Dazing Bolt skill, regardless of skill prerequisites, but only once. The only limiting element in casting Dazing Bolt this way is the amount of Action Points (AP) character has at their disposal in current turn. The scroll is not craftable, weights 0.02 and has base value of 100 gold.
The cost of Action Points between Dazing Bolt scroll and Dazing Bolt skill themselves varies. The AP cost to cast Dazing Bolt as a skill is 3 AP and the AP cost to cast Dazing Bolt as a scroll is only 2 AP.
Both the scroll and the skill itself are affected by other skills, attributes and talents that may provide additional bonuses.

Locations[]
Traders[]
Following table shows all NPCs who are guaranteed to sell hydrosophist spellbooks, with their location and coordinates in the right column, from them. The location shown in the table (and the coordinates) are only for the initial location the NPC is in. Note that some of these may have other spell/skillbooks and goods to sell. Almira may follow the Godwoken on Lady Vengeance if her demands are met. Also note that Lizard Dreamer requires a persuasion check to be passed in order to speak with him, otherwise he (and the whole encampment) will turn hostile.
