Bow increases a character's damage rating with bow weapons (this does not include Crossbow).
Bows use a large amount of action points to attack with each turn (generally 3 to 4), so a high Speed stat or the Glass Cannon talent is recommended. Furthermore, a far away target will have a lower chance to hit. Even though the Perception stat increases accuracy over long distances as well as increase critical hit chance, the Dexterity stat increases damage and accuracy much more significantly.

Every 0.2 meters reduces chance to hit by 1%
Each point of Perception increases the distance before penalties due to range take effect by 0.4 meters and critical hit chance by 2%.
Each point of Dexterity increases chance to hit by 6% and offense rating by 6 (when using a bow).
