Armour is a protective equipment used by The Dragon Knight in Divinity II: Developer's Cut and its subsequent versions.
Description[]
There are two basic armour types in the game. Human armour which is used to protect the Dragon Knight in their human form, and dragon armour which is used to protect the Knight in their dragon form. All armour, save for the Dragon type, requires specific level requirement to be met, before it can be worn. In Divinity II: Ego Draconis and Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance an additional attribute requirements had to be met as well alongside level requirement.
Armour is futher on characterised by its rarity. The greater rarity armour has, the greater its defensive properties may be. Below is a list of all possible equipment rarity in game:
- Common: White
- Magical: Light Green
- Rare: Light Blue
- Heroic: Dark Green
- Legendary: Yellow
- Elder: Blue
- Epic: Red
- Unique: Dark Red
- Special: Gold

Dragon Armour[]

No Armor

Dragon armour is one of the few ways a Dragon Knight can protect themselves in their dragon form. There are 4 sets of Dragon armour in Divinity II and it is the only armour that can be worn in the dragon form. All of these pieces are unique and unlike human armour sets, do not get additional bonuses when worn together. This means that armour pieces can be combined and worn as needed. All armour pieces have the value of 600 gold.

Bone Dragon Armor
“Sturdy and almost as strong as metal, the bones of Dragons make for an excellent exoskeleton that may protect a Dragon Knight's scaly skin from being torn by wyvern claws. This use Dragon bones, however, was viewed by most who could take the wyrm's shape as disrespectful and a desecration of their dead master's might remains.

Plate Dragon Armor
“From encounters with flying terrors such as airborne undead monsters grew the need for Dragon Knights to increase the protection worn in battle. Taking cue from the frequently-proven strength of plate armour worn in human shape, new armour was forged in that same tradition to fit their mightier form. Their efficacy soon quashed the hopes of necromancers who wanted to challenge the Dragons' rule of the heavens.

Human Armour[]
Human armour is constituted of similar parts as the dragon: helmet, chest armour, gloves and leggings. Like dragon armour it also has differing styles, based on various factions present on Rivellon. Unlike dragon armour not all of the armour present in game is unique. Values for set armour pieces, are based on sole equipment. For armour values when wearing full set see Armour Sets section. All icons are taken from in-game files since only male icons are visible in the game, regardless of the Dragon Knights gender.
Unlike dragon armour, human armour can be improved by charms and enchantments. Human armour also comes in much greater varieties than dragon armour. Following armour styles are all found in the game and are further separated into 3 tiers, with the exception of Noble (Dragon Lord), Champion and Guard (Mine Guard) styles which are separated into 4 tiers, with the final 4th tier being the Flames of Vengeance special armour set.

Armour Sets[]
Armour sets are made up of separate pieces of armour, jewellery, and weapons with the same names. Each item has its own individual attributes, but secondary skill and attribute boosts are attached based on the number of pieces from the set being worn.
There are several unique armour sets in Divinity II game which provide defensive bonuses depending on how many pieces of the set are worn. Set pieces are exclusive to the part of the game they are in, meaning that there are no set items scattered across both Divinity II: Ego Draconis and Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance DLC. The bonuses are calculated based on the percentage of the set pieces worn. Differing sets have different amount of armour, weaponry and accessories as part of it. Following tables show bonuses provided only by armour pieces in the set.
