Weapons are items which can be equipped by the Dragon Knight and used in order to damage their enemies in Divinity II: Developer's Cut. There are four kinds of usable weapons, one-handed, two-handed, ranged weapons and shields.
Description[]
Weapons are items, which can be equipped by the Dragon Knight and utilised in combat. Their properties include: name (its color signifying its rarity), damage / armour values, properties, charms, enchantments and lastly a description. There are 8 types of rarity across the game:
- Common: White
- Magical: Light Green
- Rare: Light Blue
- Heroic: Dark Green
- Legendary: Yellow
- Elder: Blue
- Epic: Red
- Unique: Dark Red
- Special: Gold
Note that all weapons above the uncommon rarity are either pre-equipped with or can have either charms or enchantments added to them, which add bonus Skills or Attributes. In addition to this, weapons can deal either melee damage or ranged damage and alongside one of these magic damage.
One-Handed Weapons[]
One-handed weapons can be wielded alone, in pairs, or alongside a shield. They have the fastest attack rate of all weapons, but with lower damage. These weapons, depending on how wielded, may benefit from Single-handed Combat Expertise, One Hand and Shield Expertise and Dual-Wielding Combat Expertise. When wielding a shield or another weapon in the off-hand, the attack speed is reduced compared to just a single weapon.

Two-Handed Weapons[]
Two-Handed Weapons are weapons, which require both hands in order to be used, and therefore cannot be used alongside a shield. They deal increased amount of damage, at the cost of attack speed. In Divinity II: Developer's Cut the only type of two-handed weapon is a two-handed sword.

Ranged Weapons[]
Ranged weapons are weapons capable of dealing damage at range. In Divinity II: Developer's Cut the only ranged weapon available to the Dragon Knight is the bow. There are no arrow types and the amount of arrows is unlimited. Ranged weapon is required for Ranger skills.

Armour and Weapon Sets[]
Some unique weapons and shields are part of a set. When set items are worn together they will either receive additional properties or their current bonuses will be increased.
