Divine Descendant is a side quest that begins when you approach the High Hall well in Orobas Fjords after completing The Runes of Wrath. Detailed Walkthough[]

There are five methods to resolve this quest.

Method One:

  • Talk to Eamon and offer to pay for the ritual. This costs 1000 gold, results in a lower reward than the other methods, and eliminates a body part as a potential reward.
  • Reward: 3500 experience points, 500 gold, 1 option (1750 exp, 250 gold, 1 gem, 10 herbs, 5 ore, 3 potions)

Method Two:

Divinity 2 Divine Descendant ghost

The ghost

  • Talk to Gobie and offer your help in getting rid of the ghost. He gives you the key to his house and waits outside. Mona and Eamon will complain then leave. Enter the house and confront the ghost to reveal that it is actually a normal person who changed his appearance using magic. He will run away, so go back to the farmer. You can say that you killed the ghost or tell the truth, both with the same result.
  • Reward: 4500 experience points, 800 gold, 1 option (2250 exp, 400 gold, 1 body part, 1 gem, 10 herbs, 5 ore, 3 potions)

Method Three:

  • You can mindread Eamon or Mona to discover that they are frauds, then confront Eamon. Threaten him and demand that they leave, never to return.
  • Reward: Same as Method Two

Method Four:

  • Mindread (as above), then instead of telling them to leave, demand half of the sum the peasant offers in return for keeping quiet and not revealing the scam. You are given 500 gold in addition to the quest reward.
  • Reward: Same as Method Two

Method Five (Requires at least 1 skill point on Summon Ghost):

  • After reading Eamon's or Mona's mind you can choose to summon a ghost after confronting Eamon about trying to scam the farmer. He will run away, leaving Mona behind.
  • Reward: 6000 experience points, 1000 gold, 2 options (3000 exp, 500 gold, 3 potions, 10 herbs, 5 ore, 1 gem, 1 body part, 1 armor piece)

Note that methods one, three, four and five prevent you from gaining entry to Gobie's house, which contains a few chests and barrels to loot (the key to the locked chest is behind a crate and barrels near the ghost). In addition, methods three, four and five cost exp for mindreading. Nonetheless, method five is suggested as the most profitable way to resolve the quest, however will require you to use 1 skill point on Summon Ghost (which can be reverted at the Training Arena for a fee of 5000 gold). Gaining the skill through equipment is also possible and saves the 5000 gold.
