Send a wave of healing to target another character. The wave travels to nearby allies, healing with each movement.
Skill description

Healing Ritual is an adept Hydrosophist skill in Divinity: Original Sin II.

Description[]

Healing Ritual Skill[]

Healing Ritual is a supportive hydrosophist skill that allows caster to send forth an unpredictable wave of healing energy that restores Vitality of all affected allies and deals physical damage to all Undead characters or characters affected by Decaying (Original Sin 2) Decaying status effect. The wave may affect the caster as well if they are close enough but they cannot target themselves with it.

Since Healing Ritual relies on Hydrosophy magic it cannot be cast if caster is affected by Silenced (Original Sin 2) Silenced and Enraged (Original Sin 2) Enraged status effects. Healing Ritual skill physical damage is reflected back when the undead target is under Deflective Barrier skill, however it will do no damage (Definitive Edition only).

Healing Ritual Scroll (Original Sin 2) Scroll and Skillbook[]

Healing Ritual skillbook is a magical item that allows its reader to learn Healing Ritual skill, if they have at least 2 points into Hydrosophist ability, and use it indefinitely. In order to be able to cast the skill, character needs 1 free memory slot. Note that the book will disappear once read. The book weights 0.5 and its base value is 500 gold. A skillbook can be crafted if a Healing Ritual scroll is combined with a Blank Water Skillbook. Since Healing Ritual is an adept Hydrosophist skill, traders will start selling the skillbook once Godwoken reach level 9.

Healing Ritual scroll is a magical item that allows any character to cast Healing Ritual skill, regardless of skill prerequisites, but only once. The only limiting element in casting Healing Ritual this way is the amount of Action Point Icon (Original Sin 2) Action Points (AP) character has at their disposal in current turn. The scroll is craftable, weights 0.02 and has base value of 260 gold.

The cost of Action Points between Healing Ritual scroll and Healing Ritual skill themselves remains the same. Both the scroll and the skill itself are affected by other skills, items, abilities and talents that may provide additional bonuses.

Hydrosophist Icon (Original Sin 2) Skill Modifiers[]

Healing Ritual is a supportive skill whose effects depend on the following characteristics of the caster:

  1. Level
  2. Hydrosophist
  3. Warfare - in case of the target being Undead
  4. Critical Damage Modifier - in case of the target being Undead

Out of these, Level provides the greatest boon. In case of healing itself the main factor is how many points caster has in Hydrosophist ability, however this also affects how much physical damage this skill deals to the Undead. Note that, since the skill causes physical damage to the Undead it is also affected by Warfare ability whose bonus stacks with that of Hydrosophist.

Healing Ritual properties can be affected by talents, consumable items (some of which may be affected by Five-Star Diner talent) and other skills.

Following table shows all NPCs who are guaranteed to sell hydrosophist spellbooks, with their location and coordinates in the right column, from them. The location shown in the table (and the coordinates) are only for the initial location the NPC is in. Note that some of these may have other spell/skillbooks and goods to sell. Almira may follow the Godwoken on Lady Vengeance if her demands are met. Also note that Lizard Dreamer requires a persuasion check to be passed in order to speak with him, otherwise he (and the whole encampment) will turn hostile.
