“Sacrifice yourself to bring an ally back to life. Deals piercing damage to you, and resurrects target character with maximum Vitality.
„—Skill description
Last Rites is a master necromancer skill in Divinity: Original Sin II.
Description[]
Skill[]
Last Rites is a supportive necromancer skill that allows caster once per combat to sacrifice their life-force to ressurect their fallen companion in 13 meter radius. This skill will deal set amount of piercing damage to the caster and restore their companion back to full Vitality from death. It is possible to survive the piercing damage of this skill if character has more Vitality than the indicated piercing damage from the skill. Note that it is not possible to resurrect allied characters, only companions.
Since Last Rites relies on Necromancy magic it cannot be cast if caster is affected by Silenced and Enraged status effects.
Scroll and Skillbook[]
Last Rites skillbook is a magical item that allows its reader to learn Last Rites skill, if they have at least 3 points into Necromancer ability, and use it indefinitely. In order to be able to cast the skill, character needs 1 free memory slot. Note that the book will disappear once read. The book weights 0.5 and its base value is 1400 gold. A skillbook can be crafted if a Last Rites scroll is combined with a High Tier Blank Necromancy Skillbook. Since Last Rites is a master Necromancer skill, traders will start selling the skillbook once Godwoken reach level 16.
Last Rites is one of the few magic-based skills that does not have a scroll. The skill itself is affected by other skills and talents that may provide additional bonuses.
Skill Modifiers[]
Last Rites is a supportive skill that does set amount of piercing damage based on the Level of the caster, as such it cannot be improved. It is also not possible to improve the healing factor of this skill as it always restores maximum Vitality of target companion.
The Last Rites skill however is affected by talents and other skills.
