What have we here? A mortal wandered into my tower. By accident, I’m sure.

Lord Lovis is a Dragon Knight and bound to his tower and approached by the Dragon Knight in 1300 AD.

Background[]

The only child of Anastas, a queen of the ancient Kingdom of Ferol. At some point he became a disciple of Maxos.

When he was 17 years old, he and Amdusias attempted to use spells too powerful for them. As a result a fire storm destroyed a town, while killing hundreds in its wake.

Enraged Maxos decreed that only one of them will become a Dragon Knight. Eversince he and Amdusias became bitter rivals in a race which Lovis had ultimately won.

During his days as a Dragon Knight he had done many deeds. These include winning a duel with a Dragon Knight Bronn, by biting off his head, in the skies above Broken Valley. His most famous feat however was during The Battle of Ten Thousand in which he slew more than six hundred foes and three Black Ring generals.

While his fame was great and noble goals earned him admiration from his students his attitude and his priorities began to decline with time. Duty was replaced by sloth, his watch over the valley replaced with wine and feminine distractions. With time Lovis became cruel and feared. This reached its peak when arch-demon Ba'al raided Broken Valley.

For failure to protect the valley he was punished by Maxos, who ripped his soul and bound it into a stone, which he placed within his temple.

Lovis haunted his tower for over a millenia, until the Dragon Knight approached him in 1300 AD. While giving the Knight the key to enter the Maxos Temple he asked whether the Knight could retrieve his soul from the hands of his rival Amdusias.

Whether the Knight returned his soul to him or not remains a mystery.

My thoughts are my own, if you don’t mind. But it’s nice to see the art of mind reading is still popular among the educated few. You’ll find the chest next to my throne unlocked. Consider it a little reward for the amusement you bring.
