However, every character should consider a one level dip for access to one of the strongest heals in the game, Cure Wounds, a free self teleport with Battering Ram, and the only knock down removal in game, Helping Hand. In the late game, Man-at-Arms offers some strong AoE buffs like Inspire and debuffs like Nullify Resistances and Terror. Flurry with a two-handed weapon that normally takes 4 AP to attack with grants 4 attacks for the AP cost of two. The damage here is very weapon dependent, unlike with magical skills.

Apart from skills, levels in Man-at-Arms unlock more talents than any other ability. Remarkably, a level 5 in Man-at-Arms is not required for any skill, but unlocks the talents "Sidewinder" and "Weather the Storm".
