Munition or ammunition are a type of item found in Divinity: Original Sin II.

Description[]

Munition is a type of item primarily used in combat by player character, companions or NPCs. All of these items have variety of effects ranging from dealing damage to inflicting status effects and creating surfaces. All of these items are primarily thrown or shoot in order to achieve a desired effect.

In both Classic Edition and Definitive Edition there are two types of munition: arrows which can be used only if character wields a bow or crossbow, and grenades which can be thrown by any character and require no weapon. In Definitive Edition with the release of the Gift Bag: Song Of Nature features: Herb Gardens and Crafter's Kit a new kinds of grenades and most of all deployable traps have been added to the game.

Depending on their effects, nearly every item can be empowered by investing points in abilities and talents that either: increase damage, range or prolong the effects of inflicted status effects.

Arrows[]

Arrows are type of munition which are used when wielding bows and crossbows. Nearly all arrows can be crafted or upgraded to have special properties, either from basic arrow or from elemental arrow. Elemental arrows can be also crafted from arrowheads, which can be crafted into special arrowheads. All of these arrows are affected by talents: Arrow Recovery, Elemental Ranger and Far Out Man.

Grenades[]

Grenades are a type of munition, which unlike arrows, can be used by any character. They can be thrown regardless of weapon(s) wielded and cause damage or any other effect in a designated area of impact. All of these grenades, except Smoke Grenade, can be crafted. All of these grenades are affected by talents: Ambidextrous, Slingshot and Far Out Man.

Gift Bag - Song Of Nature[]

Following grenades and traps had been added to the game through additional content known as the Gift Bag - Song of Nature. This gift bag added 6 new features out of which Herb Gardens and most notably Crafter's Kit add new craftable munitions to the game. While Herb Gardens are mostly focused on Herbs and Potions it adds one grenade to the game, the Eraser grenade which can remove all manner of clouds and surfaces (deathfog and lava included). The rest of the grenades and traps in the list below are from Crafter's Kit feature. Note that having any of these features activated disables achievements.

Grenades[]

Following grenades are a type of munition that has been added to the game as part of a gift bag feature. They function similarly to their base game counterparts with the exception of Eraser Grenade which has a unique ability to completely clear out any surfaces and clouds. Like their base game counterparts all of these grenades are affected by talents: Ambidextrous, Slingshot and Far Out Man.
