Elves[]
“Elegant and long-lived, elves are skilled sourcerors. Memory is the keystone of elven culture; they can absorb memories by consuming the flesh of others.„
Innate Talents[]
Elegant: Replaced by Ancestral Knowledge at full launch: Gives +1 to Loremaster
Corpse Eater: Allows you to consume body parts and learn new skills from them. Also heals you.
Innate Abilities[]
Flesh Sacrifice: Grants 2 extra AP and 5% damage boost at the cost of Constitution points. The amount of points Constitution is lowered by varies depending on character level.
Elves make for good Rangers and Rogues due to their innate Finesse bonuses.
Due to the elves' ability to gain memories from body parts they eat the elves are possibly the best race to play for story as you will gain more insight into characters and some relevant stories by consuming body parts.
Humans[]

Innate Talents[]
1. Early release:
- Ingenious: +2 to Wits and +3 Critical Chance
- Human Resolve: +1 to Leadership
2. Classic version:
- Thrifty: +2 Initiative and 5% extra Critical Chance
- Ingenious: +1 to Bartering
3. Definitive Edition:
- Thrifty: +1 to Bartering
- Ingenious: +5% extra Critical Chance and 10% extra Critical Multiplier
Innate Abilities[]
Encourage: Grants small boost to stats and heals for a small amount on cast.
Humans are good for playing Rogues, Shadowblades or Rangers.
Lizards[]

Innate Talents[]
Sophisticated: Gives you +10% Fire resistance and +10% Poison resistance.
Spellsong: Gives +1 in Persuasion.
Innate Abilities[]
Dragon's Blaze: A small coned fire damage ability.
Due to the Intelligence boost, Lizards make excellent spell casters such as Wizard, Witches or Enchanters.
Dwarves[]
“Dwarves are fiercely nationalistic followers of their empress. Their proud society reveres Source and is clan-based, deeply divided between haves and have-nots.„
Innate Talents[]
Sturdy: Gives +10% maximum Vitality and +5% Dodging.
Dwarven Guile: +1 Sneak.
Innate Abilities[]
Petrifying Touch: Petrify a target, increases Physical Armor and removes Bleeding, Burning, Poisoned and Crippled.
Dwarves make for great Fighters or Knights.
Undead[]
“The Undead are considered abominations in Rivellon, an affront to the natural order whose mere presence invites violence. Those who walk among the living must do so masked.„
Abilities[]
Play Dead: The player falls to the ground pretending to be dead and loses aggression from NPCs.
The Undead are also harmed by healing potions and healing spells, so to heal them you need to inflict poison onto them, drink a poisoned health potion or walk into a poison field.
