Skeletons are the reanimated undead, most of which have been resurrected via necormancy. They are commonly found throughout the Aleroth catacombs and elsewhere in Divine Divinity, although those of a more powerful nature can be found in the cursed abbey, the dark forest Teneb Tiriel and various graveyards and dungeons.

Biology[]

The skeletons in the Aleroth Catacombs are formerly living beings which have been transformed into skeletons by the necromancer Thelyron Hashnitor, they are destined to wander the catacombs. Waiting for the necromancer's resurrection. If they consider their existence, they will collapse from excess existential thought.[1] Although those under Thelyron's control will collapse after their leader's death, there are others held by other forms of magic who continue to roam such as those at the abbey who are bound by the Engineer's curse.

Skeletons have an absolute resistance to poison and a minimal resistance to spiritual damage, with exception to conjurers who also have an absolute resistance to spirit. In contrast, they are weak to both fire and lightning damage.
