Summon Cat Familiar is a summoning spell in Divinity: Original Sin II.

Description[]

This summoning skill becomes available to your main character only if you are successfully able to keep the Black Cat in Fort Joy alive long enough to get it out of the Fort. It has no combat ability whatsoever and it is a "primary" Summon (i.e. it cannot be used at the same time as another primary Summon such as Conjure Incarnate), but it does have two useful mobility skills:

  • Feline Leap: The cat can leap a moderate distance away to a point it has line-of-sight on, bypassing many obstacles.
  • Swap Places: The cat switches places with the summoner via a double-teleport (note, the cat has to have line-of-sight on the summoner). The max range of the skill is identical to that of Feline Leap.

Gift Bag: Pet Power[]

Gift bag: Pet Power allows the player to infuse not only their Incarnate but also all other summoned creatures. This includes the Black Cat as well. Note that skills gained by infusing it, may differ from skills gained by infusing other summoned creatures.

Notes[]

  • Feline Leap and Swap Places can effectively give the main character useful self-teleporting mobility. Unlike Teleportation the Swap Places spell does not cause physical damage upon using it, thus allowing ''the summoner to get some distance from their enemies, if used right.
