Eight are on my surface, four shan't see another day. You decide who serves and who dies.

The Mind Of... is a side quest in Divinity II: Ego Draconis.

Quick walkthrough[]

Detailed walkthrough[]

This quest is a side quest connected to the main quest The Prophecy. The goal of this quest is to find out as much as possible about the candidates who will serve the Dragon Knight.

This quest is divided into sub-quests. Each sub-quest is marked as completed (green) whenever the corresponding candidate has been mindread.

The Mind of Allan[]

Allan's thoughts revealed he is lying about something. Probably everything: he is trying to persuade he's a better alchemist than he is. Of course this doesn't mean he could not become one.
The Dragon Knight

Allan is a candidate for alchemist who made his own small camp in front of Laiken's Study which is next to Sea Side Shrine. To get there one needs to go past Wesson's camp then turn left. Allan's camp is surrounded by 8 level 16 Abomination's.

Allan can be found walking and looking back every few moments. By speaking with him and mindreading him the quest is marked as completed.

The Mind of Barbatos[]

Barbatos' thoughts revealed he is the greatest alchemist in Rivellon. I don't doubt he is, but if I choose him I'll have to cope with with his sunny personality.
The Dragon Knight

Barbatos is the second candidate for alchemist who can be found wandering on small beach within the Starbound encampment. He wears red robes and can be sometimes seen speaking with Turgoyn.

By speaking and mindreading him the quest is marked as complete.

The Mind of Hermosa[]

Hermosa's thoughts revealed she excels at combat skills training. A lady of many talents indeed.
The Dragon Knight

Hermosa is the candidate for Skill Trainer and a captain of the Starbound crew. She is found in the back of the the Starbound camp walking in and out of her private quarters. By speaking with her and mindreading her the quest is complete.

The Mind of Igor[]

Igor's thoughts revealed he wants to ensure the creatures he makes are resistant to magical attacks. Not bad idea, really.
The Dragon Knight

Igor is a candidate for Necromancer and a servant of another candidate Jonelath. He is found in the back of the Necromancer Cave which is in front of the Wesson's camp. Speaking with him and mindreading him will complete the quest.

The Mind of Jonelath[]

Jonelath's thoughts revealed he wants to ensure the creatures he makes are resistant to the blades of weapons and arrows. A basic choice, but a smart one.
The Dragon Knight

Jonelath is the second candidate for the Necromancer and master of Igor. He is a Black Ring necromancer who along with Igor made their stand in the Necromancer Cave which can be found near Wesson's camp. Upon entering the cave he will engage in conversation with the Knight. Mindreading him will complete the quest.

The Mind of Kenneth[]

Kenneth's thoughts revealed he excels at magic skills training. Good to know he can be an ally, not an opponent.
The Dragon Knight

Kenneth is a Dragon Slayer and a second candidate for the Skill Trainer. He made his camp on the other side of the Sentinel Island, past the Starbound camp. Speaking with him and mindreading him will complete the quest.

The Mind of Radcliff[]

Radcliff's thoughts revealed he is quite the weapon smith, and a good weapon is invaluable.
The Dragon Knight

Radcliff is a candidate for Enchanter who resides within the the Starbound camp he can be found smithing in front of Hermosa's quarters. By speaking and mindreading him the quest is marked as complete.

The Mind of Wesson[]

Wesson's thoughts revealed he is quite the armour smith, and one in my line of work can always use good protection.
The Dragon Knight

Wesson is a candidate for Enchanter and a husband of Ginny. He and his wife made a camp in front of the Necromancer Cave, past the Sentinel Island Beach shrine.

By speaking and mindreading him the quest is marked as completed.
