Divinity Wiki

The Wild Woman and the Renegade is a quest in Divinity: Original Sin. This quest is part of The Bear and the Burglar DLC, which is required to do this quest in the Classic Edition. This quest is obtained when you first meet Bairdotr in her cage outside the Legionnaire Headquarters in Cyseal. You must help Bairdotr find out who destroyed her Homeforest and why her friend and mentor, Jareth, disappeared.

  1. Speak to Bairdotr outside the Legionnaire Headquarters and let her join your party. She tells you that she must find a woman named Attenberah.
  2. When you first enter Luculla Forest, you will meet a fleeing Immaculate. He tells you about a village called Sacred Stone, run by a corrupt Immaculate called Attenberah.
  3. Jareth looking at the victims

Progress through Infiltrating The Immaculates quest until you find your way to Eastern Luculla. Go East from Loic's Basement Portal to find your way to Sacred Stone.
  4. Go through the waterfall over the bloody river at the back of the village. Enter the cave there.
  5. At the end of the cave you will find Jareth. You will also learn that he was responsible for infecting the Homeforest withDOS Status Effect Rot.pngRot1 non-leathal Void Damage per Turn and leaving Bairdotr to die.
  6. Depending on how you've treated Bairdotr, she joins Jareth and fights against your party or joins you in fighting Jareth. To avoid losing Bairdotr, you can attack Jareth without talking to him.
  7. Jareth summons 5 gore creatures who are immune to Earth damage. Fight them and kill everyone.

  • If you don't have the DLC The Bear and the Burglar for the classic game, you can't do this quest.
  • As you can read above, Bairdotr can turn on you depending on how you complete this quest. If you want to make sure that she remains in your party, don't speak to Jareth.
  • Bairdotr's betrayal also depends on whether the Source Hunter controlling her is Obedient or Independent. For best results, make sure that she is attached to an Independent Source Hunter.

  • 12000 XP
  • Father Lucifer achievement for helping Bairdotr to deal with Jareth (available for Steam users in Enhanced Edition only).
