Wishing Well is a side quest in Divine Divinity.

Quick Walkthrough[]

  • Find Wishing Well.
  • Throw gold into well, preferably at least 100.
  • Choose your reward.

Detailed Walkthrough[]

When you arrive to wishing well, it tells you that it grants one wish. Rewards depend on amount of gold thrown into well.

2 or 10 gold[]

  • 2 gold, or 10 gold makes quest only finish, no reward.

100 gold[]

  • Super Healing (even though well says giving elixir).
  • Spider ally to help in battle. These stay with you until they die.
  • Asking for enchanted sword gives hint of book in Cursed Abbey cellar, which tells about three long-lost forgotten holy weapons, starting quest Finding the Holy Weapon.
  • Asking for two more wishes makes wishing well irritated because one was trying to trick it, completing quest without reward.

1000 gold[]

Throwing 1k gold rewards one of following;

  • +5 Strength
  • +5 Agility
  • +5 Intelligence
  • Skeleton ally
  • Enchanted sword reward is same as with 100 gold.
  • Asking for experience gives level.
  • Asking for million gold completes quest without reward.

10,000 gold[]

Throwing 10k gold rewards one of following;

  • +10 Strength
  • +10 Agility
  • +10 Intelligence
  • Scorpion ally

All other answers are the same as lower donations.

Ally stats[]

Creature Price Level Attack Damage Defence Armor Chance to Hit HP Sight Sprite used
Spider 100 29 52 4-14 49 123 95 218 8 Giant Spider
Skeleton 1000 33 66 7-23 63 140 95 359 10 Insane Skeleton
Scorpion 10000 37 66 5-17 62 157 95 307 8 Steel Scorpion

Notes[]

  • Gold is lost only after picking reward. One can close dialogue option before choosing and think again.
  • The Book about which the Wishing well hints, can be found in Cursed Abbey even before getting information from wishing well itself.
  • The well's name is Darsk Ceulg. They prefer the title 'miraculous-water-dispenser', rather than 'wishing well'.
